You might enjoy reading "50 Simple Things You Can Do To Save The Earth" by the Earth Works Group, Earth Works Press, Berkeley, CA, 1989. Personally, I avoid using automobiles if at all possible, I eat low on the food chain (more vegetables, less meat), and I try to "reduce, reuse, and recycle" as much as I can.
