Question:
How do we know where the holes are in the ozone?
Replies:
Yes, we can measure the concentration of ozone by flying very high up, with U-
2 planes, stratospheric balloons, sounding rockets, and satellites. The ozone
measuring instruments carried on these flights show that the concentration is
lowest over the South Pole, hence the nickname "ozone hole."
