Material of Baseball Bats

I would like to know why aluminum alloy bats hit a baseball farther than a
wooden baseball bats?
I do not know a lot on this subject, but I would think that since the a
aluminum bats are lighter, the player can swing them faster and hit the ball
further. It is possible there is also a larger "sweet spot," so that it is
easier to get a good reaction from the hit.
