What happens to matter that is pulled in to black holes?


Replies:
It passes through very severe gravitational forces that can distort and pull it apart. Time seems to drag while it passes through the surface. Some- times a little bit of x-rays or particles are emitted, but mostly on the way in, since little can escape the event horizon. Aside from being torn apart by the strong gravity, it would be uneventful.
