Why cannot we see the far side of the Moon?

Author: david j dixon
Why do we never see the dark side of the Moon? Is it due to the rotation of
the Moon or which side is facing the Sun or another reason?

Yes we cannot see the far side of the Moon because the rotation of Moon
about its axis and revolution around the Earth take exactly the same time.
So we always get to see the same side of the Moon. The far side of the Moon
is not dark, it faces the Sun as often as the near side.
