Vegetation on planets
Author: jenny m timis
Do you think that there are plants, water, etc. on other planets?

There is certainly water on other planets (Mars for example), but much more
is needed for life. Most planetary scientists believe that life probably
existed on Mars sometime in the past even if there is none there now, but
there is no scientific evidence for life existing anywhere except on Earth.
That could change soon with the new missions to Mars. A separate issue is
whether or not other solar systems exist, and, if they do, do they have
planets capable of supporting life. Since there is no scientific evidence
one way or the other, this is largely a matter of personal belief. I like
to think there is life elsewhere.
