Oxygen and the Sun
Author: margaret b weinman
Is there here oxygen on the Sun?
Response #: 1 of 1

There are many lighter atoms on the surface of the Sun, but not many as a
percentage of the surface content. The Sun is so hot that whatever atoms
are there are ionized more than once.
