Text: There are a very large number of areas of study and work that are
included. Petroleum engineers, engineers who prospect for ores, scientists
who study the movement of water through the layers of the earth, engineers who
study the strength of soils for supporting structures, scientists who study
earthquakes, professors of geology, soil physicists who are concerned with
agriculture, meteorologists, astronomers,...

Text: The field of atmospheric science (meteorology) is included in
Earth Science. This field is very wide-ranging from weather forecasting to
climate science to complex and very theoretical atmospheric physics regarding
fluid dynamics, atmospheric electricity, and other stuff. With a bachelors or
masters degree one can be a weather forecaster or air pollution meteorologist,
with T.V., radio, private industry, or the government (weather service). With
a Ph.D. one can do research in any of the fields of atmospheric science, with
the government, private industry, or at a university and, of course, you can
teach at a college. This is just a simple overview to give you an idea.
