Question:
What is the best virus protection I can get for a Macintosh?

Replies:
There are many excellent virus protection programs on the market today. As for the best virus protection program, that is like asking what is the best computer system on the market, IBM or the Mac. Finding the best virus protection program is a matter of opinion. If you were to ask one person what the best virus protector is, they may praise a program that someone else will tell you to stay away from. So, finding the best programis a matter of opinion. One virus protection program that is available for the Mac is "Symantec Antivirus for the Mac (SAM)," version 3.0.9 by Symantec. This virus protector monitors your Mac and alerts you when it sees suspicious activities. It has customization features and extensive scanning options. It is great for advanced users and network managers. There are also other virus protectors available. To find the best one for you, talk to your local software dealer and let him know how you use your computer. They should be able to find the best one for you.

If money is an issue, you can find many share or freeware packages at most anonymous ftp sites.
