Question:
In an average eight hour sleep period ,normal home, how much moisture would a 200 lb man lose in ounces of water by breathing only?

Replies:
Hi Joe,

Thanks for the question. The rule of thumb that I have remembered is that one loses half a cup of water per day by breathing. Of course, this is only approximate. So, I would expect that a person might lose one-third to one-half of a cup of water by breathing during an eight hour sleep period.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have more questions. Thanks Jeff
