Owl Pellets
Name: Bre W. Status: educator Age: 40s Location: N/A Country: N/A Date: 7/16/2003
Question:
How often do owls regurgitate their pellet? Is it after each feeding or dependant on the bird's size?
Replies:
Most owl species that I am familiar commonly eat one meal, digest it, and expel a pellet.
This is before the next meal. With exceptions, one a day is probably the best figure. I'm not including the owlets or adults feeding their young.
