Question:
how can i stop a ice cube from melting using household material not strofoam. i need a window and a door. will a sponge box lined with aluminum foil, then filled with sawdust work if i put the ice cube in a aluminum can surrounded by the sawdust?

Replies:
Sounds like it ought to be pretty effective. Ice used to be packed in sawdust in the old ice houses before modern refrigeration was commonplace.
