Question:
What is a human example of incomplete dominance and
co-dominance?
Replies:
A good example of codominance is human blood type. Specifically the
alleles that confer A and B blood types are codominant; the allele
conferring type O is recessive to the A and B alleles.
A good example of incomplete dominance is sickle cell disease.
Homozygous recessive individuals have sickle cell disease; heterozygous
individuals exhibit a mild version of the disease; homozygous dominant
individuals are normal.
