Earth's core temperature

Question: How hot is the earth's core?
 pioneerlearners

Answer 1:
This is what I found in a geology text: something to the effect of
several thousand degrees, at least, but almost certainly not as
hot as 10,000 degrees.

Congratulations on asking a question for which we do not yet know
the answer!

Answer 2: My geology text concurs. The temperature is probably
around between 3000 and 5000 degrees Celsius. For comparison,
the temperature at the surface of the Sun is about
5500 degrees Celsius.
