Deep diving equipment

Question: What special equipment do people need for setting a record for
deep diving?
 d c whitbeck

Answer: I would think that they would need some kind of "ship" that could
withstand the enormous pressure of deep diving. Every 30 feet down adds
another atmosphere of pressure on you, so going a long way down would require
a VERY strong vessel or contant equilization (pressure outside = pressure inside).
Don't know much more about this.
