Grape Juice Stain

Question - Why does grape juice stain?
----------------------
Hannah,
Stains happen when the material causing the stain is able to remain strongly
attached to the fibers of the stained material. Grape juice is not the only
substance that will stain cloth. In fact, the whole process of dyeing
fabrics is based on uniformly applying a "stain" to the material in such a
way that it (the dye) will remain tightly attached to the cloth fibers
through many washings.
