Trapping Gasses and Oil
Name: Owen Status: Student Age: 18 Location: N/A Country: N/A Date: N/A
Question:
Can you explain how a porous earth can hold natural gas and oil without them escaping, when gas and oil are under pressure?
Replies:
It can't. Something impenetrable has to hold the fluid in, such as a layer of clay or impermeable rock.
