What are the applications of a superconductor?

Shilpa G., The discovery of better superconducting compounds takes us another step towards faster computers with larger storage capacities, nuclear fusion reactors in which ionized gas is confined by magnetic fields, magnetic levitation ("Maglev") trains and more efficient generation and transmission of electrical power.
