Clear ice cubes
Question: How do you make a clear ice cube?
carolyn r campbell
Answer:
Try boiling the water before freezing it. Let it cool to near room
temperature in the pot you boil it in and then pour it into the ice
tray (try do do this without disturbing/stirring up the water any
more than necessary) and put it in the freezer.
I'm not sure that this will work but dissolved gases often cause
clear liquids to turn opaque white when frozen.
You should boil the water for at least 5 minutes to get rid of most of the
dissolved gases.
Have fun!
