Golf Club Shaft Flexibility

Question: What materials in golf club shafts determine degree of flexibility?
bill r ross

Answer: Shafts made from wood, foiberglass, and graphite composite are flexible
because of the enjoying of many fibers. I don't know why some metals are flexible
but each kind has a "deformabilty" or "bounce-back" index. Aluminum and copper
would not flex very far without breaking or bending while steel or titanium would
be very flexible. Hope this is what you where looking for.
