Pineapple

Question: What part of a plant is a pineapple?
William Hesse

Answer: A pineapple is a fruit: the mature ovary of a flower. It is a very
complex fruit, and it is actually the fused ovaries from several flowers. Its
main purpose is to attract organisms which will take the seeds and disperse them
so that new plants can grow away from the parent plant.
