Question:
We are a 4th grade class and we just hatched 11 baby chicks. We would like to know why we could balance an egg on the large end on the Vernal Equinox. Thank you for your help.

4th graders, Interesting question! Did you try to balance your eggs at any other time? There is no reason the egg balances better during the equinox. Eggs will balance better if they are balanced on a rough surface and if the egg's surface is a bit rough. Give it a try and let me know what you find out.
