How do you chart meteor speed versus impact crater diameter? and meteor speed vs ray length?

Replies:
The best way to chart the velocity of a meteor is first to identify which shower it came from. The list of meteor streams can tell you, in many cases, what the velocity was. For example, any Geminid would be coming in at about 35 kilometers per second. A Leonid would be twice that velocity.
