Question:
When is the next time and how often does Haley's Comet pass over Chicago?
Replies:
Halley's Comet (note spelling) has a period of 76 years. It last
appeared in 1986.
Hopefully, when it "passes over" Chicago, it will also pass over the rest
of the Earth.
BTW, the pronunciation of Sir Edmund Halley's last name is the same as
mine: the "a" is pronounced as in "hall" although for many years it was
common to hear it pronounced as in "hail"
