Composition of Jupiter

Question: What is the current consensus among astronomers of the composition of
Jupiter?
ross i berbeco

Answer: A core of mostly hydrogen, solid core, but liquid around atmosphere of
several chemicals, including ammonium. The core may be the site of some nuclear
burning, like a star, since it appears that more heat is coming out of Jupiter
than is going in.
