Question:
I NEED TO KNOW THE TIMES OF DAY THE MOON WILL RISE AND SET FOR EACH
DAY IN FEBRUARY.
Replies:
The times depend on your latitude and longitude. My recommendation is
for you to get the 1994 "World Almanac and Book of Facts", a paperback published
by Funk and Wagnall's, widely available. (I bought mine at the grocery store, it
has all sorts of interesting information, well worth the $8.95 cover price, but try your local
library if you don't want to buy it.) On page 251 it gives the Feb. rise and set
times of the moon for several different latitudes (it gives these times in
Greenwich Mean Time, but there are directions for converting them to local time, as well as for
correcting for your particular latitude and longitude). Good luck!
